A NETWORK OF LIKE-MINDED ANGLERS
Founded on a passion for understanding carp and improving angling knowledge, the BCSG brings together experienced anglers who value learning, sharing information, and contributing to the long-term future of carp fishing.
Membership offers access to exclusive publications, unique fishing opportunities, and a nationwide network of like-minded anglers.
Knowledge is shared amongst members via our exclusive magazine The Carp, at regular Regional Meetings that take place across the country and via the members area of the website with its friendly and informative forum.
We also run our own fisheries and hold regular social fish-in opportunities on fisheries throughout the country.
THE CARP MAGAZINE
Members receive The Carp Magazine, the BCSG’s exclusive publication produced specifically for members.
Unlike mainstream carp magazines, it focuses on thoughtful, in-depth articles covering carp behaviour, angling techniques, fish care, history, and fisheries.
Written by knowledgeable anglers and long-standing members, the magazine provides insights and information you simply won’t find elsewhere.
REGIONAL STRUCTURE AND REGULAR MEETINGS
The BCSG operates through a well-established regional structure, allowing members to attend regular meetings in their local area.
These gatherings provide an opportunity to hear guest speakers, share experiences, discuss research and ideas, and connect with fellow carp anglers who share a genuine interest in understanding the species.
BCSG FISHERIES
Members gain access to three exclusive fisheries managed by the BCSG.
These waters, Korda, Dallows and Hindles, are run with a focus on carp welfare, thoughtful management, and maintaining the character of traditional carp fishing.
They provide members with the opportunity to fish unique lakes while contributing to the organisation’s ongoing study of carp and fisheries management.
MEMBERS WEBSITE AND FORUM
Members also receive access to the private area of the BCSG members’ website, which includes a highly active online forum.
Here, anglers can exchange ideas, ask questions, share captures, discuss fisheries, and take part in thoughtful discussions with some of the most knowledgeable carp anglers in the UK.
Unlike some forums, the BCSG is a respectful, self managed forum where members are actively encouraged to participate.
BCSG FISH-INS
Throughout the year, the BCSG organises annual group and regional fish-ins held on both BCSG waters and selected lakes across the country.
These events are a great way for members to meet, fish together, exchange ideas, and experience new venues while enjoying the camaraderie that has always been central to the group.
